At K44, we are committed from day one to having a positive impact on our environment and community. Sustainability is the core of our brand, not a destination, but a continuous journey of improvement. We aren't perfect yet, but we are dedicated to transparency and constant progress alongside our partners and you.

Our Materials
We believe high-performance resort wear shouldn’t come at the cost of our oceans. That’s why we’ve partnered with industry leaders to source innovative, low-impact materials.

TOPGREEN® Recycled Polyester
The outer shell of our swimshorts is crafted from 100% TOPGREEN® recycled polyester. This premium fiber is created by transforming post-consumer PET bottles through a meticulous process of grinding, washing, and re-polymerizing them into high-quality yarn.

  • The Impact: Every pair of K44 swimshorts diverts approximately 8 plastic bottles from our oceans and landfills.
  • Efficiency: Using TOPGREEN® fibers reduces our reliance on petrochemicals and generates significantly fewer carbon emissions compared to virgin polyester.

Linen
Our shirts are made from linen, a textile made from the fibers of the flax plant. Flax is a hardy plant that grows naturally with minimal water, often requiring nothing more than rainwater. It is one of the most eco-friendly textiles available: durable, highly absorbent, and perfectly suited for the Mediterranean heat.

Certified Sourcing & Transparency
We believe in proof, not just promises. While K44 is a growing brand, we ensure our impact is verified through our supply chain:

  • GRS Certified Suppliers: We exclusively source our swim fabrics from mills that hold the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification. This ensures the TOPGREEN® fibers we use are independently verified for recycled content, environmental practices, and chemical restrictions.

Production
We are working with local businesses to support the local production and ensure ethical practices while making your clothes.

Packaging
Our commitment extends to your doorstep. Our hang tags and mailer boxes are 100% recycled and recyclable, while our product bags are designed to be both reusable and biodegradable.
