The K44 Story
What does the name K44 stand for?
K44 is an ode to our childhood summers spent exactly 44 kilometers away from Alexandria on Egypt’s North Coast. The name represents that specific stretch of Mediterranean coastline— the sun, the salt, and the "good old" summer vibes that inspired us to start this brand.
Is K44 an Egyptian brand?
Yes. K44 is a proud Egyptian resort wear brand. We design and produce our collections with a focus on high-quality craftsmanship and ethical Mediterranean living.
Sustainability & Materials
What is TOPGREEN® and why do you use it?
TOPGREEN® is a premium recycled polyester fiber made by transforming post-consumer PET bottles into high-quality textile filaments. We launched K44 with TOPGREEN® for our swimshort shells because it offers the same durability and quick-dry performance as virgin polyester but with a significantly lower environmental footprint.
How many plastic bottles are in one pair of K44 swimshorts?
On average, each pair of our swimshorts diverts approximately 8 post-consumer plastic bottles from our oceans and landfills.
What does "GRS Certified" mean?
The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is an international standard for tracked and verified recycled content. We exclusively source our swim fabrics from GRS-certified mills. This ensures the fibers we use are independently audited for environmental impact, chemical safety, and fair social practices at the source.
Is the entire swimshort recycled?
Transparency is our priority. Currently, the outer shell of our swimshorts is made from 100% TOPGREEN® recycled polyester. Other components (like the inner mesh and drawstrings) are selected for premium comfort. As we grow, we are actively searching for recycled alternatives for every single component.

Where do you ship?
We currently ship across Egypt. Shipping costs and delivery times are calculated at checkout.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Standard delivery within Greater Cairo typically takes 3-4 business days. For other governorates, please allow 4-8 business days.
Can I change or cancel my order?
If you need to make changes, please contact us at info@k44.store within 2 hours of placing your order. Once an order has been processed for shipping, we are unable to make changes.

How should I care for my K44 gear?
To preserve the life of your garments and the planet:
- Swimshorts: Rinse with fresh water after every swim. Wash cold and air dry in the shade.
- Linen: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Reshape while damp and air dry.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return/exchange policy?
We want you to love your K44s. We accept exchanges within 14 days of delivery, provided the items are in their original condition with all tags and hygiene liners attached. We do not offer cash refunds unless an item is proven to have a manufacturing defect that cannot be replaced.
How do I start a return?
